United States: Great ceremony in reparation for the black mass of Oklahoma City

The protestors far outnumbered the participants in the black mass that was held on September 21 at the cultural center in Oklahoma City (see DICI 300). According to the local newspaper, Oklahoman Newspaper, quoted by foxnews.com on September 22, only about 40 or 50 of the expected 88 spectators assisted at the satanic ritual.

In order to remain within the law, the Satanist group had to make some changes to the habitual black mass ritual. Instead of urine, the participants used vinegar. The woman who was supposed to be naked on the altar wore undergarments, and the participants spit upon an unconsecrated host.

During this time, about 1,200 Catholics gathered together for a holy hour in one of the city’s churches at the request of the archbishop, Archbishop Paul S. Coakely. The building was full, as 400 people had to pray outside and many more gathered in a gymnasium and a cafeteria close by.

In his sermon, extracts of which were quoted by foxnews.com, Archbishop Coakley declared that the city had been the target of “obscure forces”, but he pointed out that as Christians “we know that Christ has conquered Satan. The war has been won, Christ has conquered, but the attacks will continue until Christ’s return and His eternal reign.”

The United States District of the Society of St. Pius X also organized a Mass of reparation in one of the city’s great hotels, followed by a procession in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary to the cultural center. In a press release published on September 12 on the website sspx.org, the district superior, Fr. Jürgen Wegner, encouraged all those who could not come to offer their communion on Sunday, September 21, and to perform acts of penance in reparation for this sacrilege.
