Fr. Louis Alessio Goodbye Party at St Thomas More
Every year the new assignments bring the newly ordained priests and some others to new assignments. It is always a difficult time for the priests as well as for the faithful. It is an opportunity to practice the spirit of Faith in the priest alter Christus and of detachment.
After 10 years of priestly service, St. Thomas More Church said goodbye to Father Louis Alessio.
Father was transferred to the great state of Texas, so the parish held a cowboy ho-down style party!
Party's are always fun, but saying goodbye is not. You will be missed by many Father!

Fr. Louis Alessio
He was born in New Jersey and raised in a traditional Catholic family where he attended mainly traditional Catholic schools and the Tridentine Mass, and recited the daily family rosary. After graduating high school he worked for several years to help support his family and then entered the SSPX seminary in Ridgefield, CT, in 1987.
He was ordained in Winona, Minnesota on June 19, 1993. His first priestly assignment was at St. Aloysius Retreat House in Los Gatos, California where he assisted in preaching Ignatian retreats and covering the weekend Sunday Mass circuit until 1996. After a short stay at the priory in Browerville, Minnesota near the SSPX Sisters Novitiate and he was transferred to Zimbabwe, Africa in November of 1996. He assisted the Prior in Harare religious convert instruction, preaching Ignatian retreats at a small retreat house several times a year, as well as covering the Sunday mission Mass circuit from time to time.
In 2004, he was back to Los Gatos, CA and remained there for the next six years preaching retreats and covering the weekend Sunday Mass throughout California.
In 2010 he was transferred to a newly opened priory in Sanford, FL where he is presently stationed and assists the other priests in covering the weekend Mass circuits in Florida, as well as being the SSPX Third Order Chaplain for the Florida chapels. In June 2018 he celebrated the Silver Jubilee (25th anniversary) of his priesthood.
